Shelter & Solidarity

Join the Faith Community Wellness Council for a transformative forum exploring how communities of faith can respond to two of our most pressing challenges: housing insecurity and toxic polarization.

In an era of deepening divisions and growing housing crises, faith communities are uniquely positioned to offer both practical solutions and healing presence. This forum brings together faith leaders, community advocates, service providers, and concerned citizens to explore how we can work across differences to address homelessness while building the bridges our communities desperately need.

Featured Speakers:

Jay Heroux & Wendy Robbins | Warrenton Baptist Church Opening Doors: Our Hotel Ministry in Action Discover how Warrenton Baptist Church is providing emergency shelter and dignified support through their innovative Hotel Ministry program.

Melanie Burch | Habitat for Humanity Building Homes, Building Community Learn about Habitat for Humanity's approach to addressing housing insecurity and creating pathways to stable homeownership.

Felicia Champion | Community Touch From Numbers to Neighbors: Turning PIT Count Data into Action Explore how Point-in-Time Count data can inform and inspire meaningful community responses to homelessness.

Jazzalyn Livingston | One America Movement Beyond Division: Faith Communities as Bridge-Builders Gain practical strategies and tools for addressing toxic polarization and fostering constructive dialogue across differences in faith communities.

All are welcome. Come ready to listen, learn, and collaborate as we build both shelters and solidarity in our communities. Lunch provided by One America Movement.
