Join us via Zoom on June 12th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for an engaging session designed for human service professionals, parents, caregivers, and educators. This lunch-hour presentation will explore the concept of Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) and their vital role in fostering resilience, well-being, and healthy development in children.
Our session will be led by Holly C. Matto, PhD, LCSW-C, a Professor in the Department of Social Work at George Mason University’s College of Public Health. Dr. Matto has over 20 years of experience in addiction science, research, and practice. Her work spans interdisciplinary collaborations, developing innovative interventions, and examining biobehavioral regulation strategies—bringing a unique perspective to understanding how positive experiences can promote healthier, more resilient children.
During this session, we will discuss:
What PCEs are and why they matter
The impact of positive experiences on lifelong health and success
Practical strategies for promoting PCEs in various settings
Resources and tools to support children and families
Bring your lunch and your questions—let’s work together to build brighter futures for children!
