Rick Laimbeer

Rick is the Executive VP for VFI Corporate Finance, a multimillion-dollar Asset Backed Lender headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rick started with the company at its formation in 2001. He holds a degree in economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and has spent his entire professional life in the financial services industry.

Rick and his wife Alice live in Rappahannock County and have raised two outstanding children. Their son Parker, with a PHD in molecular biology, works as a scientist for the Food and Drug Administration. Their daughter Margot, holds two masters’ in nursing, works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Inova Hospital in Fairfax.

Rick has held leadership roles in several local organizations including Master of Foxhounds of the Warrenton Hunt from 2008 to 2018, and he currently sits on the board of the Fauquier Club. Rick and his wife Alice’s philanthropic pursuits center around providing financial assistance for education, cultural interaction, and wildlife conservation in a remote and underserved part of Kenya. Since 2007, Rick and Alice have been leading a program whereby Highland School students and their families travel to Kenya, work at supported schools and interact with the Kenyan Students at those schools.

Having experienced his own challenges with mental health, Rick is passionate about providing assistance for those suffering from mental illness.
