Karen Flikeid
Karen began her professional career organizing campaign events for then Vice President George H. W. Bush. She then served in his administration for three years before moving to Richmond, Virginia, where she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank as a relocations specialist. Karen moved to Warrenton in 1993, to work as a corporate meeting planner at Westfields Conference Center. She then served as executive director of the Fauquier Free Clinic until her first child arrived in 1999. Since then she has served as president for the Parent Association and on several boards, including The Warrenton Horse Show Association and Highland School. Currently, Karen works part-time in her husband’s dental practice. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and spending as much time as possible with her two grandsons.
