Diana Chalmeta
Dr. Chalmeta was born in Madrid, Spain and moved to the United States at age 4. She grew up in Annandale and attended the University of Virginia where she majored in Biology with a minor in Religious Studies. She then went to the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond for medical school and residency. She completed a dual residency in Pediatric and Internal Medicine. Dr. Chalmeta moved to Warrenton in 1999 to join Piedmont Pediatrics. She often precepts students of all kinds to generate interest in medicine and to help aspiring clinicians meet their career goals. She has been honored as one of Washingtonian magazine’s Top Doctors in 2010 and 2014. She has received honorable mention for Best Pediatrician in Warrenton Lifestyle magazine in 2011 and 2012. Dr. Chalmeta has three children who attended school in both public and private schools in Warrenton. She has served as Co-chair and then Chair of the Department of Medicine at Fauquier Hospital as well has been on the Chair of the Peer Review Committee. Dr. Chalmeta volunteers her time regularly at the Fauquier Free Clinic, where her husband is the director. She is also responsible for volunteer physician recruitment and scheduling.
