Eating Disorder Resources for the Local Community
February is a month that focuses on love, but it is also a month that focuses on eating disorders. National Eating Disorder Awareness Week runs Feb. 20-26. This is important because of the rise in eating disorders in our community and nationwide. Did you know that eating disorders cause approximately 10,000 deaths each year? That equates to about one death every 52 minutes.
Eating disorders are dangerous, and individuals of all ages and genders can be affected by the condition. To recognize the importance of treatment and the struggles that individuals and families face with this mental health condition, the Mental Health Association has created a resource for Fauquier and Rappahannock county residents to utilize. This resource can be shared and printed, just click the image.
